Before I started animation during high school in Austin, TX in 2012. My hometown was San Antonio TX.

Most of my childhood was visiting the San Antonio Zoo which was an adventure every time. Between my move of starting high school and getting my degree in animation 10 years later in 2022, visiting the zoo was infrequent.

While wrapping up my 1st film award winning film, I had an idea that involved a few exotic birds that lived in the same zoo, almost nostalgic, to be a possible project and that's where Birds of Amuse was created.

My life changed as grew up to be an animator, such as going to the movies, concerts, clubs and events. With the idea centering on birds at first, my first thought was what if a flamingo were to crash a drag show or concert and did it's ritual dance like a pop star? Who wouldn't wanna share that on their social media story? The art of social media was something that changed my life and what if it would change that bird's life as well.

LGBT representation matters and it makes a huge impact on the film, especially with the film's lead character. It celebrates pride and being unique. Animals have a significant art to them and have behaviors which almost seem festive and QUEER.
