The San Antonio Zoo
The Zoo itself is one half of the film's setting. It was important to make sure everything was completely accurate; the exhibits, the color scheme and the animals that are kept in captivity. The setting is almost as if we're nowhere near the city of San Antonio but almost in a jungle environment with concession on standby.

Compared to a small natural environment for animals. The city populated by humans, is a major contrast to what animals adapt to. San Antonio is represented as an ethnic diversity. Roots that celebrate its history like the Alamo or Fiesta. The Riverwalk as shown below is the center of the town's culture and pride. Environments full of music, clubs and food are unknown to animals like Felix
